Mother-of-pearl comes out of Ocean Oyster shells, and the most precious mother-of-pearl is obtained in this way. It takes hours to make a small piece of mother-of-pearl, which consists of the bright, invariable beauty of the pearl oyster. The woods obtained from walnut or linden trees are first drawn with motifs, drilled by hammering and mother-of-pearl inlaid, so both filigree and inlaid technique are used at the same time.
